Miranda (b. 14 December 1972) is the only daughter of Penny and Charles Hart and the owner of a small joke shop located in Surrey. She is single, much to the chagrin of her mother Penny, who regulary attempts to set her up with a variety of diffferent men. All of which, Miranda states, are ridiculous. Though she claims that she is single and "happily so," she has a very large crush on her chef friend Gary Preston, who she constantly makes fool of herself in front of in an effort to flirt and impress. Her close friends include Stevie Sutton, Gary Preston, Clive Evans and, to an extent, Tilly.
